While principal photography wrapped up back in December, we have been busy in the editing suite. On March 18, we completed a preliminary (very rough) cut of the film, and we are thrilled with the results. Once again, we are reminded of the courage and passion brought to bear by our talented cast. Piecing the film together, much like its shooting, seems an act of voyeurism.
Voyeurism and discipline. Out of approximately 52 hours of footage filmed, we have peared our rough cut down to about 2 hours. More 'pearing' is at hand.
On March 19, we submitted the film as a work in progress to the Cannes Film Festival. Our package was received by the Festival on March 20, one day before its submissions deadline of March 21.
If the film is accepted, we will post the information here. In the meantime, we continue to tighten our edit.
